SAATEN-UNION GmbH was founded in 1965 and is an association of seven medium-sized German plant-breeding enterprises with more than 100 years of breeding experience behind them.

SAATEN-UNION UK represent these breeders, initially by screening and testing varieties under UK conditions. Promising lines are then developed and studied so further information can be obtained to be utilised by farmers and agronomists.

Our Heritage

For over 50 years, the seven breeders of SAATEN-UNION have been working to give farmers throughout Europe a perspective for the future. Today, the SAATEN-UNION
brand stands for countless groundbreaking breeding successes.

But the world keeps on turning. The situation for farmers is becoming increasingly difficult. Extreme weather, crop protection and fertilizer restrictions threaten yields. Day after day, SAATEN-UNION breeders are working on the varieties of the future.

With currently 26 crop types and 280 situation-adapted varieties, SAATEN-UNION helps farmers throughout Europe to increase their yields under all conditions. And thus secure their future.
